Package Design BOX

This is our box the first two images are the sides were the prices are.  The third image is the front of the box and the fourth image is the top of the box. The last image is just the whole box.

Pantherosaurus

The assignment was to create a hybrid animal. We had to take three different animals that represent our character and combine them. There were five steps in completing the project. Step one was to pick three animals we wanted to use, step two was to pick the body part from the three chosen animals, step three was to make a silhouette of the chosen parts, step four was to combine the silhouette and make one animal that represents us, step five was to make an abstract background that represents the environment our animal would live in. We had to use illustrator. In illustrator we had to use the pen tool to trace the animals. Our final project had to be 8 by8 digital prints, have an abstract background shape and it had to have three layer of detail: basic animal shape, highlights and shadows.  I chose a panda, a panther and a stegosaurus. I use the panda body and used the panther face while I used the stegosaurus spikes and tail.

The assignment was to make a digital self portrait. There were four steps in completing the project. Step one was to have someone take a profile shot of me, step two was to trace the picture in illustrator, step three was too add text and step four was to create an edition of 2 images with varying color palettes. The final project had to have two different images. One had to be complex while the second one had to be simple. I use illustrator and the pen tool.

            I traced from my head to below my hips. After my first silhouette was done, I then made an outline with one of my favorite quotes. “Carry yourself with class and dignity” by Dr. Wayne Montague. When my second silhouette was done I engrave it with the words “Be a star”. On the first silhouette I put two burst because I am a star and all stars need their spot light. Since the second one had to be simple, I didn’t give it a background.

PSA

      This assignment was a public service announcement. We had to create a PSA for a modern issue that needed attention. It had to be 1 minute or less, have three statistics, an email address or phone number and we had to use still photos. For my project I decided to do a PSA on Haiti but another student wanted to do Haiti also. Instead of doing something else I decided to still do Haiti but instead of helping the people of Haiti, I wanted to help the country it self by creating a PSA for the reconstruction of the homes and public buildings. 

Digital Story

The assignment was to tell a story about an event, an object a place, or a person who impacted or changed us. We then had to write three ideas in which we wanted to use. Once we selected the one we wanted we then had to write the script. The script was what we recorded as our story. The story was only supposed to be one minute long. We were supposed to tell the story as if it was happening now and in our own voice.
My story is about the mothers I encounter in high school. At the beginning of my high school life I was mother less. Not that my mother was dead or anything she just wasn’t around and I at age I needed her the most. When I thought I had to go thought my high experience alone I met two wonderful female teachers who were there for me. Whatever I needed or asked for they gave me. I took pictures of my mothers and we also reenacted the first time we met and took picture. I also use words and a video for one of my mother doing a dance. I chose these pictures because I thought they were the best to represent those lovely ladies.

Photographic Truth

The assignment was to take 6 historical pictures within a common theme and put myself in it, but it had to look like I belong there. The images had to be either 5”x 6” or 6”x 5”. We had to use the lasso tool, the crop tool, color adjustment, filters, image variation and the stamp tool. The Hope High School Expectations this project address is 4-0 which states: solve problems and think critically as a mathematician, scientist, historian, etc. 4-1 which states: create design, and perform/present original work and understand its value in context.
My accordion book is in black and white. In order to do so I use black and white images. I added myself to the pictures by using the stamp tool, for each picture I tried to use a different style. For example: some of the images have just my face on the people bodies, while others I have my whole body but in different clothing.
